Class of 2018 Senior Safe Night

If you would like to be a part of the committee and help in the fundraising and decision making, please contact the main HS office to be a part of the committee.

What is SSN?

The “Senior Safe Night” Graduation Party was started, over 30 years ago, in many school districts across the United States, in answer to the problem of losing a celebrating graduate, on graduation night, because of alcohol or drug related accidents.
The Lee High School Senior Safe Night Graduation Party first occurred in 1981, as an alternative drug-free, alcohol-free and safe environment for students to celebrate, after years of hard work and study. Because of its rousing success, the Senior Safe Night Party continues for our Seniors' participation every year.
The party begins on the evening of graduation day, where Seniors are celebrated, with a fun-filled night, that will end the next morning. It is chaperoned, tightly monitored and, once the student enters, he/she is not able to leave until the party is over. It also provides a final opportunity to socialize and party with fellow classmates.

What is the fundraising goal?

The committee will come together and set a goal of how much money to raise.

What kind of prizes are given out?

Prizes, ranging from $10 to $15 will be given, throughout the evening, for all the events scheduled. At the end of the evening, a special gift package is reserved for each attendee that will range around $100!

Will there be food?

Absolutely! Dinner is provided, as well as snacks and beverages (non-alcoholic) throughout the evening and venues. No one will go hungry! :D

Who can attend?

All 2018 graduates.  Any adult attending is expected to help with anything that needs doing.

Can my graduate leave before the end of the event?

We will be traveling to many venues throughout the evening and would prefer not to have the graduate leave.

How is this event paid for?

It has been customary that each Senior student pay $50 toward their graduation night party.  Students can also work with our volunteer group, at the Van Andel.  Here, they earn money that they can put toward any school function payment.

The cost the student pays only partially covers the cost of the party. We also receive monetary and material donations from local companies and individuals. While this is a great community event, it cannot be successful without the help of many volunteers and fundraisers.

Thanks for Supporting Senior Safe Night 2018!

Pictured below are memories from the 2016 senior safe night!  With hard work, dedicated parents and many donations from local business, it turned into an unforgettable night and was a HUGE success!
